And now for the serious bit.....

Rebecca is a multi-award winning marketing specialist who has worked in small business, State Government, the airline industry, media and now as a Director of her own national tourism digital marketing company Kingthing Marketing.  Rebecca is a leader in Australia’s tourism industry in the areas of industry development and online marketing. 

In the five years Rebecca held the position of Marketing Manager at Tamar River Cruises the company won 9 awards including Tasmanian Tourism Awards and the Telstra Business Award for Innovation.  Her managerial style, strategic business planning skills and proven track record for unprecedented growth led Rebecca to be awarded the 2006 Telstra Tasmanian Corporate Business Woman of the Year. Her love for all things online saw her leave the industry development role to start her own consultancy specialising in online tourism.

The business has gone from strength to strength and recently won the 2014 Tasmanian Tourism Award for Education and Training. In April 2015, Rebecca achieved the highlight of her career by winning Gold in the prestigious 2014 Australian Tourism Awards in the Education and Training category.   In September 2015 Rebecca was appointed as a Director to the Tourism Tasmania Board overseeing the strategic direction of the organisation and has recently completed the Company Directors Course.
